Perfect for child's room and for student desk use. Size makes it very versatile, and excellent for tight spaces. Extremely solid desk. with cast iron base and legs, with maple wood top. Back of desk has really cool Vintage 1970s Superhero and NBA team stickers, which make the desk a unique conversation piece, but could be removed, if desired. We left these on, since kids love them. Cast iron legs of desk have been mounted on small, inobtrusive, padded feet -- to prevent scratches to the floor. Has groove to hold pencils / pens, as well as ink well hole, and a storage shelve under the desktop. Several generations of users of this desk during their childhoods have gone on to top universities -- so this could be a good luck desk for your family too! Manufacturing Date Code on inside of legs stamped as "3-4-15" for March 4, 1915. See less
