This is a lovely French compotier produced by FF (Fenal Frères) Pexonne called Campagne, countryside, from around the 1900s period. It is decorated in blue transferware with little images of birds and farm animals: sheep, pig, and cows. It is a perfect fruit bowl for a farm house, especially charming for a working farm with cows and sheep.
It is a slightly hollow plate with a pedestal foot is made of ironstone, or terre de fer.
