This Vintage Persian Tabriz Rug was expertly hand-woven in the Tabriz region of Iran using wool on a cotton foundation. It has been professionally refinished in the U.S. and measures 9'9" x 13'10". Over centuries, Persia (now Iran) has been known for producing exquisite, intricately woven rugs as an integral part of its art and culture. The tradition of rug-weaving in this region can be traced back to the Bronze Age, and some of the oldest surviving Persian rugs are from the Safavid dynasty in the 16th century.
