DETAILS
An antique, rectangular pier or trumeau mirror salvaged from a period 18th century, French built-in panelled room. The top panel is painted in gouache with an oval reserve featuring the Roman mythological goddess, Diana the Huntress. She stands with her knee bent, drawing her bow and arrow, framed by opposing putti figures and foliate scroll decoration in a grisaille palette.
