Each chair is hand-crafted in steam-bent beechwood with sculptural wrap-around arms, curved back supports, and circular underframe stretchers reinforcing the legs. The flowing bentwood design reflects Thonet’s timeless modernist aesthetic and technical mastery of steam-bending. The set has been structurally revised for stability, carefully refinished to enhance the warm walnut-brown patina of the wood, and newly upholstered in a soft willow green velvet. The fresh upholstery complements the organic curvature of the frames, bringing an elegant contrast between the smooth fabric and the rich bentwood structure. The chairs are in very good condition with light surface marks, faint hairline character cracks in the bentwood, and natural variations in the finish consistent with age.
