This handsome silver-plated wine or Champagne cooler which features lion head and ring side handles is by PH Vogel & Co and dates from the mid 20th century.
This exceptional quality wine cooler has a decorated rim, is a nice heavy weight and the silver plate is in excellent condition.
A stylish and usable piece of vintage barware that will also look great on display.
P. H. Vogel of Birmingham, England, commenced business in 1927 and quickly made their mark in silver plated, sterling silver and crystal glassware products. PHV has now closed so this handsome champagne cooler is retired.

Date: Mid 20th century.
Marks: Marked to base P.H.V & Co. EPNS. Made in England.
Dimensions: 21 cm (8 1/2") High. 20.5 cm (8 1/2") Diameter. 26 cm (10") Diameter including side handles.
Weight: 1576 g.
Condition: The best I have seen. Exquisite used vintage condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. The Lion Heads with ring handles have a superbly finished Silver plate and look stunning. The inside is also excellent considering the many bottles it has hosted.
