A large ikebana bowl crafted in wood-fired stoneware, produced at a Japanese studio pottery kiln in the 1970s.
Dimensions: height 17 cm, diameter 48 cm. Weight: 7 kg.
The piece is shaped in a low, rounded form with broad, organic shoulders and an asymmetrical opening. Its minimalist lines and subtle carved patterns emphasize the hand-crafted nature of the work and resonate with the wabi-sabi aesthetic.
The natural, earthy brown-grey tone lends the piece a warm and understated presence.
