Antique early 19th century English Staffordshire stirrup cup in the form of a bear's head muzzled with open mouth showing teeth and tongue.
Stirrup cups were used by riders on horseback and so there was no need for a foot to the vessel. Measures 5 1/2" long x 4" x 4" tall. Good condition - tight hairlines.
