Arne Bang (1901-1983), ceramic sculpture of a fawn. Glaze in light sandy tones. Model number: 11 Mid-20th century. Signed. In excellent condition with minor age-related wear. Dimensions: H 15.0 cm x D 14.0 cm. Arne Bang (1901–1983) was a Danish sculptor and ceramicist, best known for his work at Holmegaard Glassworks, where he created a range of distinctive stoneware pieces. He combined classical sculptural form with functional ceramics, producing works marked by depth, texture, and craftsmanship. Arne Bang’s style is often characterized by heavy, organic forms and subtle decoration, and his works are today highly valued by collectors of Danish applied arts.
