SYMBOLISM: A fervent practitioner of Orthodox Judaism, his spiritual convictions heavily influence his art. Critics describe his work as deeply symbolic and metaphysical, with his paintings often exploring philosophical themes and posing questions to the viewer. Accordingly, Aizenshtat’s output is characterized by a restrained appearance and the use of parables and allegories in both figurative and abstract paintings. Many works are monochromatic, using color sparingly to highlight symbolic depth.

ARTIST: Born in Moscow in 1951, Aizenshtat studied painting in the late 1960s and was influenced by Western masters. He moved to Israel in 1974, later relocating to Paris in 1980. He established a center for Torah studies in Moscow in 1989. His work, described as "intuitive," draws inspiration from his experiences in Jerusalem, Paris, and Moscow, blending national and religious motifs with a universal outlook.

CAREER: His work includes several series exploring metaphysical themes, such as “Spectrum of Life,” “City,” “Kafka,” and “Seven Red Paintings.” The “Spectrum” series has been exhibited internationally. Aizenshtat's work gained broader attention around 2010, and has been shown internationally. His paintings have been featured in major Russian museums. A notable joint exhibition in Bahrain in 2023 involved collaboration with his son and Sheikh Rashid Al-Khalifa.
