A chain of flat etched links leads to a center panel and a dangling pendant in an openwork grape motif, set with a freeform swirled emerald glass stone accented with amethyst crystals and glass pearls; finished with a filigree box clasp. The green, white, and violet colors were code for the suffragette movement -- Give (green) Women (white) the Vote (violet). The muted gold plating enhances the antique effect, while the grape design expresses themes of nature that were so often found in the jewelry of this period. Singular and evocative.
