A beautiful pair of glazed and vitrified ceramic vases, with entirely hand-crafted polychrome decorations, created by Charles Catteau (1880-1966) for … Read more A beautiful pair of glazed and vitrified ceramic vases, with entirely hand-crafted polychrome decorations, created by Charles Catteau (1880-1966) for the Belgian manufacturer Boch Frérès. The decorations are all hand-relief, not molded, and are therefore unique. They are signed and numbered under the base by both the manufacturer and the artist, "Ct." standing for Catteau. In our opinion, this pair of vases is particularly beautiful, with four flower vases repeated in each quarter of the vase, separated by elegant decorations in shades of blue and light blue that run the length of the vase, with the rim and base always blue, and floral decorations in shades of yellow, orange, blue, and light blue—truly beautiful.
