The baluster-shaped vases are each decorated in high relief with a pair of dragonfish (known as Arowana), these fish are highly prized by the Chinese as symbols of prosperity & good fortune. The vases having Wucai or Five Color Glaze the pink colored fish on a green ground with cream colored jets of water, each vase is molded with a pair of dragon fish, dramatically leaping up the sides of each vase with a jet of water from their mouths. The rim of each vase having a key shaped border with colorful embossed cloud devices below, the base of each vase is decorated with wave patterns. The vases are marked to the underside with a raised tributary Qianlong seal mark, condition is excellent, no damage or restoration. Ex. Sotheby's London. See less
