The chair was conceived through Bertoia's experimentation with the art of bending metal bars. It is considered one of the great achievements of mid-century design. The finished chairs are lightweight and durable, boasting a modern and timeless design.
In Bertoia's own words: "If you look at these chairs, they are primarily air, like sculpture. Space passes through them.
The chairs are in good condition; they show minor signs of age. The original cushion is not included.
Dimensions are 73 cm high, 54 cm wide, and 58 cm deep.
