Bring a touch of English folklore into your home with this Victorian Staffordshire flatback spill vase featuring Robin Hood and companion. Hand-painted in classic Staffordshire tones with gilt highlights and a faithful hunting dog at their feet, this piece tells a story while adding decorative charm. The hollow tree trunk behind them was originally designed to hold spills for lighting fires, making it both functional and whimsical.
Standing approximately 12 inches tall, this figure is a wonderful example of mid-19th century Staffordshire pottery and a true conversation starter for mantle, bookshelf, or display cabinet.
Condition is consistent with age, with hairlines, chips, and small repairs visible (see photos), but stable overall. Its folk art appeal and Robin Hood subject matter make it highly collectible despite imperfections.
