Set of four vintage Mark Twain hardcovers published by Nelson Doubleday, Inc. These mid-century editions (likely from the 1960s era) feature classic navy and gray covers with gold “MT” monogram and red title blocks on the spines.
Included in the set:
• A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court
• Tom Sawyer
• The Prince and the Pauper/ Those Extraordinary Twins
• The American Claimant / Pudd’nhead Wilson
These are from a former professors estate at UGA and the family tore out the first page that had his name on it to keep him anonymous. The books show light wear consistent with age, but all are intact with clean pages, a few dents but have solid bindings. Great for reading, collecting, or display as vintage décor.
