Up for sale is a gorgeous example of ancient Chinese Longshan pottery.
This vase is made from black earthenware clay, molded in a hexagonal shape, with patterned sides, and lions heads on the upper.
This piece came from the collection of an archaeologist, that was active between the 60s -80s leading some incredible digs. We believe that this could have come from one of his digs in China during the 80s, as it seems quite old, and has the presence of aged soil stains around. There is also a chip on the base that is quite smooth from age, and several minor chips throughout.
The vase measures 9 x16 x 9 inches
Please see photos for details and feel free to message with any questions. Cheers!
