The piece features a beautifully grained mahogany veneer, a square fold-over top that opens to double in size, and a pedestal base with scrolled feet.

This table was designed for cards or parlor games, a staple in 19th-century American homes. The interior compartment shows hand craftsmanship and early joinery, consistent with period furniture.
