The creator of this sexually enticing "Woman Reclining On A Sofa" is Louis Icart, who was the preeminent Art Deco artist who was not only famous but highly collected. The images he created were completely unique to him as an artist. This print is representative of all the pieces that he created. He loved the female feline form and dressed it in a flimsy flowing silky essence
as to present her in a way that drew attention and admiration. His costumes he created were of the sophisticated female who was in a class all her own. The artist model is most like his wife and muse Fanny Volmers.
