A gleaming relic of Russian tea culture, this antique silver-tone samovar was crafted by the renowned Batachev workshop of Tula and bears multiple maker’s stamps along with a 1908 date—placing it firmly in the twilight years of Imperial Russia. With its elegant conical silhouette, ornate detailing, and substantial presence, this samovar embodies both utility and artistry.
The body is polished to a bright sheen, supported by four decorative feet and flanked by wooden side handles (one of which is broken, as pictured). The top knobs and bolts are missing, but the overall form remains structurally sound and visually impressive. The spout and chimney retain their classic proportions, and the stamped markings offer provenance and authenticity.
Dimensions:
• Height: ~21 inches
• Width (handle to handle): ~12½ inches
• Width (with spout): ~11 inches
• Weight: ~13 lbs 6.5 oz
A rare and stately piece for collectors of Russian antiques, tea culture, or Imperial-era metalwork, this samovar invites both admiration and storytelling.
