A striking large-scale oil on canvas painting by Caroline Burnett (1877–1950), celebrated for her atmospheric depictions of Parisian street life. This impressionist work captures a bustling Paris street scene featuring the Arc de Triomphe, rendered with Burnett’s signature palette knife technique and richly textured brushwork. Figures stroll along the avenue under muted skies, with cafés, buildings, and trees framing the lively composition.
Burnett’s ability to capture both movement and mood is evident here, with her impressionist style evoking the timeless charm of early 20th-century Paris. The scene is accented with vibrant reds, blues, and warm neutrals, creating depth and energy that draw the viewer into the heart of the city.
The painting is presented in its original ornate gilt frame, which complements the work’s romantic Parisian theme. A fine example of Burnett’s oeuvre, this piece is perfect for collectors of European impressionist art or as a statement piece in a refined interior.
