A very heavy and large cast iron bookend with a design of a foundry worker pouring molten metal. The design has a very art deco look. It will definitely hold up your books.
The base and back are covered in a beige felt. The casting is deep and rounded. The bookend has been given a bright gold finish.
No maker’s mark or label is visible.
MEASUREMENTS
5 in (12.7 cm) wide x 2 in (5.1 cm) deep x 6 ½ in (16.5 cm) tall. Weighs 5 lbs 13.3oz.
CONDITION
There are no cracks, dents, breaks, or repairs. The gold finish is in good condition. I don’t believe it is original to the piece though.
A very heavy bookend that keep those books up on your shelf. It will also add some glitter to a dark shelf. It’s heavy enough, you could even use it as a door stop!
