In the scene, set on a barren, snow-covered plain with a frozen river flowing through it, a large horse-drawn sleigh is parked on the bank, carrying several people: a woman with a child in her arms is preparing to climb aboard, watched by the driver, while another female figure, holding her child by the hand, walks away across the ice. It looks like a Nordic public transport stop! The work is presented in a late 19th-century frame, which has several missing or damaged parts. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
