Best known for his portraits, halliday trained at the royal college of art and the british school of rome. He portrayed many members of the british royal family as well as royalty and dignitaries from other countries. An example of this poster is held in the science museum group collection, uk. Published by the railway executive (scottish region) and printed in england by waterlow and sons, london and dunstable.

small nicks, creases and tears to margins, with a 6in. Light crease across lower right corner. A 14in. Crease from 's' in 'western' up through artwork with very fine surface colour loss. Additional smattering of light creases through artwork. Slight darkening to edges. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
