Titled “Knowledge & Inspiration,” the piece was struck in Birmingham, England in 2009 and is currently held in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington.

Crafted in solid sterling silver, the medal measures approximately 55 mm in diameter and weighs 74 grams. Only 80 were produced, making this an exceptionally scarce opportunity to own a work by one of Britain’s most thoughtful and evocative contemporary artists.

The obverse features a Tree of Knowledge growing from an open book, entwined with a serpent—an allegorical nod to wisdom, learning, and the duality of enlightenment. The reverse depicts a dramatic lightning bolt striking the sea, symbolizing sudden insight and creative force. Each side is inscribed with its respective theme: “KNOWLEDGE” and “INSPIRATION.”
