NW artisl Take Hama was born in Hawaii but spent most of his life living, working and painting in the Northwest. He was an interior designer for Boeing for twenty-five years and has shown his artwork at major galleries and museums in both Seattle and Hawaii:

His subjects include water, landscapes, buildings and still life. His style has been described as a modern take on 19th Century American Impressionism.

Hama’s work can still be seen in the permanent collection of the Frye Museum in Seattle, WA.
