This visually arresting light fixture will dazzle everyone who sees it! The main apparatus is American, from the 20s -- so fanciful in design!
The fixture is made of cast metal and has its original patina, which is in excellent condition (some colored accents and some nickel, some more bronze-like colors).
Rewired, using the original keyless socket. The highest wattage possible is 60 watts, which can be achieved by using an "appliance bulb" of that wattage. It's the only standard-based bulb besides a 15-watt bulb which can fit into the socket and be mostly hidden by the shade (a standard-based 15 watt bulb was used for the photography). An alternative to an appliance or 15-watt bulb would be to put in a socket reducer and thereby allow any candelabra-based bulb to be used (available at better hardware stores or the good old Internet).
The canopy is a period French piece which has been re-patinated to coordinate best as possible with the patina of the main fixture, chosen for its floral motif.
Technicalities aside, this French-American alliance brings to bear the best of both worlds!
Dimensions: 26 1/2 long as shown. A good six inches of chain can easily be extracted, making the total drop about 20 inches (I can do that or any variation of that before sending it out if you ask). About 7 1/2 inches across.

The patina on the canopy (which is French and from the 20s) has been added in an effort to bring it into harmony with the patina on the fixture itself. It's a bit more toward the gold hues than the metal on the rest of the fixture. The peach-colored glass shade is French, also from the 20s, and has one small nick. There are nicks on the lip but they are hidden once the shade has been installed. Rewired using the original keyless socket. All components are antique.
