Exceptional secretary bookcase decorated in the 'Hitchcock' style with matching Nichols & Stone side/desk chair. The secretary does not have a manufacturer label but it looks like Fortner Furniture Company - Ohio. This secretary breaks down into two pieces - the upper case with two shelves - one of which is adjustable - flanked with a side door having an individual locking mechanism above two drawers simulated to look like five drawers. The case with a slant front having another individual locking mechanism opening to an interior fitted with pigeon holes over three drawers simulated to look like six drawers. Key is present!
The Nichols & Stone side or desk chair is number 991 114. Both pieces are in wonderful pre-owned condition and structurally sound.
