These rare late 19th/early 20th century Peranakan porcelain, also known as Nyonya ware or Straits Chinese porcelain, have unique color … Read more These rare late 19th/early 20th century Peranakan porcelain, also known as Nyonya ware or Straits Chinese porcelain, have unique color characteristics in that they are decorated with the rare use of pink, yellow and light blue colors that are infrequently found in Pernanakan ware. These hexagonal lobed bowls have their exterior surrounded by pink pomegranates with green and occasional yellow leaves and alternating diamond-shaped clusters of yellow, green and blue on a white ground.

These were made between 1870 and 1910 in the Guangxu region of China and exported to the expatriate Chinese community throughout South East Asia.

Each measures 8.5" (21cm) in width and approximately 2.75" (7cm) in depth. They sit on pedestal bases and are accented by a blue-green glaze in the interior of the bowl.
