We are selling this charming rustic French oil painting of a dog. This painting is of a dog crouched on a sandy area with folky landscape and clouds in the distance. The painting is 19th century and the canvas bears the mark of Deforge at Boulevart Montmarte in Paris which dates from 1840-1856. The painting itself is unsigned.
Condition: Heavy surface wear, darker in person without direct lighting. Several holes in the canvas giving it a rustic charm. Wear at edge on stretcher.
