This hard-to-find, extra-large 14.5” long abalone shell and metal articulating fish makes for a stunning statement piece! The fish's scales are crafted from polished abalone shells, shimmering with a radiant, multicolored iridescence. Style it decoratively as an elegant sculpture, or use it functionally as a unique bottle opener. The piece can be displayed horizontally or balanced on its tail, capturing the look of a fish leaping from the water. Attributed to Los Castillo, though this piece is unmarked. Made in Mexico.
Measures approximately 14.5” long, 5” wide, and 2” deep.
Great vintage condition with minimal damage and surface wear. There are a few missing abalone pieces that are not particularly noticeable unless you look closely.
