The Great Uncovering Of God. A major work from Berlin and companion to his Certainty Of Eternity.
Metaphysics and alchemy come together in this piece depicting emerging Bodhisattvas. His figures scintillate and shimmer with the light. The various sections of the painting; face, hair, collars, tunics and background, have been created using a variety of techniques and materials including oil paint and silver leaf to build a deep and resonant whole. Truly worthy of the comments Berlin has received - "your icons have a life of their own"; "your work is beautiful" this work is an important piece of contemporary iconographic painting. -
Hand ground pigments and silver leaf on canvas.
