This work was inspired by Berlin's many visits to the Peace Pagoda during his sojourn to Nepal over the Winter. Sax prepares his canvasses and waits for the right conjunction of creativity. The canvas for this piece was prepared in 1995 and has been in the studio waiting for that conjunction to happen, thus leading to The Peace Buddha, a perfect match of creative magic and spirituality.
Pure Gold, White Gold, Silver leaf and Copper Leaf on heavy cold pressed paper mounted on canvas with studio mixed original pigments.
