Homage to Billie Holliday. Created in his idiosyncratic New York City style Berlin, himself a keen jazz musician, pays tribute to one of the greatest jazz singers of all time, the legendary Billie Holliday. Nicknamed Lady Day by her tenor saxophonist, Lester Young, Sax recalls staring at the doorway of the recording studio on 7th Avenue by Madison Square Garden and imagining Billie coming & going leaving a waft of perfumed gardenias in her wake.
