Many years in creation this piece is deceptively complicated. Berlin's figure exudes disengenuous innocence, that wayward , enigmatic smile tells nothing and suggests everything. Influenced by Da Vinci drawings, and in his own words, "simplicity of line creates sophistication of design". This painting is bang on trend and she sits comfortably within the milieu.
Hand ground pigments, Silver leaf with gold leaf overlay and sealed with lacquer
