"A small, walled, sub-tropical garden in a hotel with an evening of local evening raga music to entertain the guests. A tourist haven in a busy place and great fun. The painting is dedicated to ‘Pam R’ who once remarked how much she enjoys my work when I use ‘bold colours arranged in a striking effect’; a bit like the music I felt in the night garden: striking musical effects that float, meld with the garden and then hover and zip amongst the illuminated colours and cadences."
