Michael P. Smith (1937-2008) was a celebrated American photographer, primarily known for his extensive documentary work capturing the rich cultural, musical, and spiritual life of New Orleans. His archive is now housed at The Historic New Orleans Collection.

But the photo was nicely framed and double matted and has overall held up well. In the furutre it should be remounted and reframed to preserve its integrity. less
