A fantastic Murano blown pulegoso glass vase with large bubbles, crafted using the sommerso technique, joining a central core of … Read more A fantastic Murano blown pulegoso glass vase with large bubbles, crafted using the sommerso technique, joining a central core of green glass with a layer of darker smoky green glass at the bottom, followed by a lighter green layer all the way to the mouth. The entire vase is worked using the sommerso technique, which means two layers of glass are joined together, the first layer being passed over a surface with rather large iron pegs to create the large air bubbles. This vase is of good size, unsigned, dating to the mid-20th century and attributable to the artistic glassworks of Flavio Poli.
