Set of four wall plates, made of fine hard-paste porcelain, featuring four Art Nouveau ladies and a pure gold rim embellished with floral decorations in light bas-relief, created and signed on the back and on the decoration on each plate by designer Umberto Banchelli for the German manufacturer Seltmann Weiden, dating from around the end of the 20th century.

Useful information for evaluating the item:
The four women depicted reflect various elements of the Austrian Secession style, by artists such as Koloman Moser and Alfred Mucha. The rim of each plate is beautifully decorated with floral motifs in pure gold in slight bas-relief. Umberto Banchelli is a designer who collaborated with several porcelain manufacturers such as Limoges, Sevrès, and also the Bavarian manufacturer Seltmann Weiden in the second half of the 20th century.
