Designed by Klaas Vet and part of the … Read more Monumental tin-glazed earthenware (“faience”) vase from Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek, Arnhem, produced circa 1910–1917. Designed by Klaas Vet and part of the factory’s sought-after Lindus series, the piece bridges late Dutch Art Nouveau (Nieuwe Kunst) and the emerging geometry of early Art Deco. At 59 cm tall, it is a striking large-format example compared with the more commonly encountered 25–40 cm sizes from this period.

The body is richly hand-painted with stylized rosettes, dotted lotus-like leaves, and symmetrical vinework framed by ornamental medallions, drawing on Ottoman and Middle Eastern ceramic motifs.
