Mid 20th Century Moroccan Boucherouitte Carpet ( 4' x 6'3" - 122 x 192 )
Moroccan rugs are usually coarsely woven with thick handspun wool which is left long and shaggy. These shag style carpets are known as Ben Ourian, and may come very plain with basic geometry in whites and browns, or highly stylized in a busy geometry with many colors for a bold look. Flatweaves are also found, but are not common.
