This Really is a Very Rare and Hard to Find Version of This Popular Vintage Cast Iron Boston Terrier Dog Doorstop. Circa 1930s. The Vast Majority of These Figurative Standing Boston Terrier Doorstops Were Posed in The "Facing Right" Style. This One However is The Scarce Standing and "Facing Left" Style. These Boston Terrier Doorstops are Documented and were Produced in Slightly Different Versions by the Hubley Manufacturing Company - "The Albany Foundry" - "The National Foundry" and Others. In my Considered Opinion This One was Produced by Either the Albany or National Foundries. Condition as Follows - There is No Damage or Repairs to the Casting. The Hand Painted Features are Possibly Original ? or Might have Had Some Added Over Painting in Any Case Many Years Ago. The Paint is Quite Rustic and Weathered Giving it a Very Interesting Old Look.
