A museum quality piece, in fact, smaller ones can be found in the Chrysler Museum and in the Corning Museum of Glass. This is a hand blown multi colored enameled glass beer stein or tankard called a humpen dated 1700. On the stein is a poem written in Old German praising the Ochsenkopf (ox head), one of the tallest peaks in the Fichtel Mountains which is the source of four rivers, thick forests, minerals and animals. The lock further symbolizes its wealth.
