The trio covers pivotal moments in the life and teachings of christ—his parables, his public entry into jerusalem, and his eventual judgment—making this a powerful and thematic group suitable for collectors of sacred art or as a devotional wall display. The first engraving, from matthew chapter xx, verses 11–12, depicts the conclusion of the parable of the labourers in the vineyard. The scene shows a group of workers receiving equal payment from their master, despite working different hours. The master's generosity and the workers' mixed reactions are captured with detailed gestures and expressions, framed within a formal garden setting with urns, architecture, and distant hills. The composition conveys the message of divine grace, regardless of when one comes to faith. The second engraving, from matthew chapter xxi, shows christ’s triumphal entry into jerusalem, riding on a donkey. A joyful crowd gathers to lay garments and palm branches before him.
