France & ireland defender of yr faith began his reign at 18 years of age (\.)'. Engraving of henry viii, king of england. Bust length with beard, plumed jewelled cap, jewelled collar, embroidered robes, and mantle. Within an oval border with english inscription on the frame. With a scene of a child dressing in the manner of the pope below. Artists and engravers: jacobus houbraken (1698-1780) was a dutch engraver and the son of the artist and biographer arnold houbraken (1660–1719), whom he assisted in producing a published record of the lives of artists from the dutch golden age. Condition: very good, please study image carefully. Date: 1750 overall size: 24 x 38 cm. Image size: 22 x 36 cm. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
