Originally designed in 1926 for the International Exposition, the Barcelona chair was reconfigured in 1950 from a two-part bolted frame to a single stainless steel frame as seen here. Knoll continued production from 1953 to the present, and lists this chair as one of the most recognized objects of the last century. These would be a wonderful addition to any Mid-Century, contemporary, Bauhaus, minimal, or post-modern interior. Seats and back cushions are partly restored. Patinated leather straps and signs of use on the bases. This piece has an attribution mark,
