The background of the piece is in a shimmery gold fabric and the subject and details are meticulously created by hand with needle embroidery techniques. You can see the texture of the waves with the incredible color variation. Also, note the coloring of his hands and face, as well as the incredible details on the fish! The leaves and branches at the top are just perfection. I love hand-made art, that has a soul and a cheekiness. This one certainly makes you feel happy. There are some Asian letters, however I'm not sure what they say. The piece is framed in a lovely wood frame painted in a subtle gold with a black velvet trim.
