Item description:
A stunning three-legged centerpiece, a fruit bowl made of openwork porcelain and entirely decorated by hand, produced by Ginori Doccia and marked in red under the base, dating back to the first half of the 19th century. The three feet of the vase are particularly valuable, with a final lily shape, a classic symbol of Florence, decorated in black and enriched with delicate pink dots in the center. The openwork is beautiful, entirely handmade, as are the concentric pink and black circle decorations. Finally, the mouth of the centerpiece is beautiful, slightly wavy. The patina is good, especially under the three feet, and the porcelain, rich in kaolin and feldspar, is excellent, giving it a particularly brilliant glaze. The object is in the Empire style and the mark was used until the first half of the 19th century.
Information about the artist and/or manufacturer:
Ginori Porcelain in Doccia was one of the most prestigious European porcelain manufacturers. It was founded by Marquis Carlo Ginori in 1737, in a villa in Doccia. Carlo Ginori's descendants continued to own and manage it until 1896, when it merged with the Richard Ceramics Company of Milan, giving rise to the famous Richard-Ginori.
