This sleek table from Frank has a walnut veneered round table top, the legs are slightly curved and are made from beech wood that has been stained in a walnut colour. On the bottom of the table we find the name of commission: "Gerngroß", written by the cabinet maker. The Viennese family Gerngross was founder and owner of the department store with the same name. The department store on the Mariahilfer street established it self at the end of Austrian empire to the largest in the Donau monarchy. The table carries through this name a part of Viennese history. The table has been professionally restored and finished with shellack. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
