Antique Floral Wool Hand Knotted Pile Coral 1925 Rug, Circa Date: 1925. This exquisite piece, hand-knotted from fine wool, represents the enduring appeal of antique rugs from the early 20th century, showcasing a sophisticated balance between vibrant color and restrained design.

The primary field is dominated by a rich, warm hue, categorized here as a coral color, which provides a luminous backdrop for the contrasting deep indigo border. This dramatic juxtaposition of warm and cool tones is characteristic of period pieces designed to provide a focal point without overwhelming the surrounding décor.

Within the navy border, delicate, meandering vines and stylized blossoms create a lively frame. The field itself is sparsely decorated with two finely rendered, isolated floral sprays, emphasizing negative space and the purity of the central color. This refined use of floral rugs patterns speaks to a highly selective aesthetic.

Woven with a luxurious hand-knotted wool pile, this piece offers both durability and exceptional texture. Its dimensions classify it as a small scatter size rug (2.06ft x 4ft), making it perfectly suited for hallways, bedside placement, or as a vibrant accent piece in a curated sitting area. See less
